This inspection confirms just how far Twickenham School has come. Inspectors judged Inclusion to be a strong standard and Leadership and governance to be a strong standard . They describe a “highly inclusive ethos” , where pupils feel happy and safe and where conduct around the school is “calm and harmonious” . Inspectors also recognised our broad and ambitious curriculum and the significant and positive improvement journey the school has been on in recent years .
Outcomes are rising strongly. Progress has improved year on year — from +0.16 to +0.21 — with current FFT estimates showed a further rise to around +0.26 in 2025. This means pupils at Twickenham are now making well above average progress from their starting points. Disadvantaged pupils, in particular, achieve outcomes that compare very favourably with disadvantaged pupils nationally . This reflects our relentless focus on high expectations and inclusion for all.
This success belongs to our staff, who have worked relentlessly and with great professionalism, and to our pupils, who rise to the expectations set for them each day. It also belongs to you. Your support, trust and partnership have been central to this journey, and I am sincerely grateful for the confidence you place in the school.
We are proud of what has been achieved, but our ambition is greater still. The next phase is about deepening consistency, refining teaching even further and extending the richness of pupils’ experiences so that every child flourishes academically and personally.
