How do I register for free school meals for my child?

If you think you may be eligible to receive free school meals, please check your eligibility via the link below.

Once you have checked your eligibility, send your certificate to info@twickenhamschool.org.uk and free school meals will be added to your child's account. 

 

What is included in free school meals? 

Eligible students receive:

  • £2.80 daily lunch allowance automatically credited at 12.30pm to their account
  • Valid only during the lunch service
  • Any unused FSM allowance will roll over throughout the school week
  • Any remaining balance is removed each Friday

Important Information

  • FSM funding can only be used at lunchtime.
  • Purchases at break time are not covered by FSM and require personal funds to be added to their arbor account.
  • Purchases above the FSM allowance must be paid for using additional funds on the student's Arbor account.

Best Value FSM Options

Students can make the most of their FSM allowance by choosing one of the following options:

Meal of the Day

A complete meal including:

  • Hot main course meal
  • Dessert or Drink

Four Blue Dots Deal

Any four eligible "Blue Dot" items, including selections from:

  • Breads and bakery items
  • Rolls and sandwiches
  • Fresh fruit and vegetable pots
  • Jelly, yoghurt and fruit pots
  • Mini home-baked treats
  • Selected drinks

Students are encouraged to check that items display the Blue Dot symbol before purchasing.



Am I eligible?

To be eligible for free school meals you must be in receipt of one of the following benefits:

  • Income Support
  • Income Based Jobseekers Allowance
  • Child Tax Credit (not including Working Tax Credit)
  • Guaranteed Element of State Pension Credit
  • Asylum Seekers
  • Proof of support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999.
  • An Income-related Employment and Support Allowance.
