GCSE Results August 2020
Twickenham School are celebrating an excellent set of GCSE results which show significant improvements across all subjects. The number of students achieving a good pass in both English and Mathematics has increased from the previous year by 7% with overall Attainment 8 improving by 5 points, significantly increasing on the 2019 results. Congratulations go to all students and in particular to Monique Smith who achieved eight 9s and one 8, and Konrad Warzycha who achieved six 9s, one 8 and one 7 in all subjects including Maths and English. On average, Daniel Georgiev and Iasmina Dobusch gained 3 grades higher than expected in all subjects. Excellent results were obtained in all subjects.
These excellent results reflect the hard work and resilience of our students and staff who have embraced these challenging times. They have worked tirelessly, and I am relieved that this hard work has been acknowledged by their grades being upheld. As a school, we have met and exceeded some challenging targets for this cohort of students during a period of great uncertainty. Particular thanks must also go to our families who have been so supportive yet again throughout an extremely difficult year. I am very pleased that so many of our class of 2020 will now progress to further education with real confidence and a tremendous sense of achievement.
The governors and I would like to send the warmest of congratulations to all our Year 11 students.
