Twickenham School celebrates success at Young Enterprise Awards and TeenTech

Posted on: 04/05/2023

Last week Twickenham School was once again proud to witness the remarkable achievements of its students; embracing new experiences and challenges with a positive mindset and drive to succeed.

Year 7 led the way attending the prestigious TeenTech Festival at Roehampton University - an exciting interactive programme that helps young people understand the range of opportunities available to them across digital, science and technology with the opportunity to meet leading companies and take part in exciting challenges and hands-on activities. During the festival students were described as ‘knowledgeable, inquisitive and an absolute delight’ and excitingly won three different event categories!

Shortly after, the Year 10 Young Enterprise Team took part in the Young Enterprise Borough Finals at the National Physical Laboratory in Teddington and were thrilled to win the ‘Team Journey’ Award for their superb engraving business – Helio Etch!

Following the highs of the summer, with overall grades across the board the highest ever seen and a record number of applications to the school for September 2023, the Twickenham School community could not be more proud of its students and the phenomenal achievements seen again and again.

Assal Ruse, Headteacher, said: ‘We are so very proud of our Year 7 TeenTech and Year 10 Young Enterprise Teams – they truly embody the spirit of our school and the commitment of our wonderful students to do their very best at all times, embracing challenge and any new experience presented to them - Aspire, Achieve, Enjoy.’
