Alumni Spotlight: Leticia class of 2025
Posted on: 08/07/2026We were delighted to welcome back Leticia, one of our former Year 11 student leaders, to speak to Year 10 students at our career fair about her experience studying a Level 3 T Level in Health, specialising in Nursing.
Leticia explained that the course requires five GCSEs at Grade 5 or above and combines classroom learning with practical industry experience. The course has a variety of specialisms, whilst she is specialising in Nursing, other students on the programme are pursuing pathways such as radiography, physiotherapy and nutrition.
A key feature of the course is the 315 hours of industry placement completed over two years. Leticia is currently gaining valuable experience at Princess Alice Hospice. Students were also interested to hear about Kingston College's healthcare facilities, including a mock hospital ward with simulation mannequins that help prepare students for real-life clinical settings.
Looking ahead, Leticia hopes to study Nursing at university and is thinking about Kingston University, St George's University of London and the University of West London.
Her advice to students was to keep an open mind, do your research and explore all the opportunities available, as there are many exciting pathways to success beyond Year 11.
